Storytelling at Tretower court

Why are there two trees, one dead, one alive, side by side, standing over a cylch y twywyth teg (a fairy ring)?

This was the inspiration for a story created with local school children as part of a storytelling project commissioned by CADW. Since then, I have enjoyed returning annually to Tretower castle to tell tales to visitors from all over the world. A truly magical place.
